Tuff Gong International Set To Release Belizean Reggae Artist Eljai’s First Album

International Reggae artist, Eljai, will be releasing the first single “Everything I Do” from his upcoming album, The Other Side Of Eljai on Friday April 1, 2016. The worldwide digital release of this single from this Belizean born singer will be through his Jah Mix Entertainment label and distributed by Tuff Gong International (Reggae legend, Bob Marley’s original record company). “I am overjoyed to be releasing this new single and album for my fans and to be working with a company with a historic legacy such as Tuff Gong,” says Eljai.  Tuff Gong International’s executive label manager, Myshjua Allen stated, “Reggae music is loved and respected by fans and artists worldwide. Tuff Gong International’s roster of labels and artists reflects the power and popularity of the music and the core messages.”

The beautifully shot music video for “Everything I Do” will also premiere globally on release day, April 1st, on Reggaeville.com, one of the world’s top Reggae websites.

This single release has been long awaited from this veteran artist as Eljai has been consistently been releasing singles and EPs. This is his first full album since acclaimed I Know release in 2010. Eljai has a number of international shows and media appearances lined up for 2016 in support of the new album. Production assistance on the album track comes from some of Reggae’s top musicians including Dean “Cannon” Fraser, Carroll “Bowie” McLaughlin, Stingray Records UK, Carl McGregor and more.

TUFF GONG INTERNATIONAL TO HOST INAUGURAL ONE LOVE MUSIC FESTIVAL

Tuff Gong International, under the direction of CEO, Cedella Marley, will stage the first annual One Love Music Festival on February 4 – 5, 2016, at Rose Hall Great House Lawns and Aqueduct, in Montego Bay, Jamaica.

The festival is a fundraising event to celebrate Bob Marley’s life and legacy by supporting life changing projects in education, the environment and poverty relief through the Bob Marley Foundation in partnership with the Rose Town Foundation and Sandals Foundation.  It will comprise of a gala reception and a live concert featuring international acts Akon, Kymani Marley, Skip Marley and a host of local performers.

“Dad always instilled that, with hard work, we can accomplish anything,” shares Cedella Marley.  “The One Love Music Festival is a way to continue to spread his message and help empower people to achieve great things.  She goes on to say, “We are bringing together a great fusion of contemporary and seasoned musical talents to provide an explosion of entertainment and enjoyment for persons of all age groups, while sharing a message of positivity and empowerment.”

On February 4, the star studded gala reception takes place on the lawns of Rose Hall Great House.  VIP patrons as well as local donors and partners will have the opportunity to mingle with a host of international celebrities and enjoy the intimacy of unplugged and up-close live performances.  Celebrity chefs from the island’s top hotels will have stations of gourmet dishes to tantalize the taste buds.

On February 5, the One Love Concert will be at the Rose Hall Aqueduct.  It will star living legends and music legends in the making, from all genres, in never before seen and unexpected combinations.  The third generation of Marley music mavens is also set to make their Jamaican stage debut at the concert.

“Rose Hall is pleased to celebrate the life of Bob Marley not just with amazing music which represents what he stood for but with the meaningful work our foundations will do with funds raised through these events. This passion for the Jamaican people is truly the heart of Rose Hall,” says Michael Rollins, President of Rollins Jamaica.

“My father believed that the greatness of a man is not in how much wealth he acquires, but in his integrity and his ability to affect those around him positively,” reflects Cedella.  “The Bob Marley Foundation has partnered with Rose Town Foundation and Sandals Foundation, entities that share this vision, in order to present the One Love Music Festival and we are very excited about the first staging,” ended Marley.

Rastafarian singer Teflon the Young King is making good on his promise to spread the message of Jah, love and respect globally to be well received as one of Reggae/Dancehall’s young icon providing innovative reggae music for global listeners . The singer who is dubbed the “Young King” based on his readiness to always help and impart knowledge to the youths whether via charity events, participating at University seminars, town hall gatherings or free community concerts, recently delivered a triad of exuberant performances on his Europe and US “Young King Meets The People” promotional tour for the awareness of his upcoming album.

As the culmination of November draws close, Yard A Love Records the artiste’s Management Company inked a distribution deal with Reggae Legend Bob Marley’s Tuff Gong International handling both digital for Teflon throughout the world for downloadable, mobile and video contents.

In a statement to the media Tuff Gong International Executive Label Manager Myshjua Allen says “Tuff Gong is looking forward in working with Teflon and the Yard A Love family. Teflon’s ”Young King” mission is the beginning of what we believe can be a great and successful partnership for both companies because we share the belief that you must first start with a quality product that we can then work together to bring to the world. Teflon touring to support the album is also a key part of the strategy because they will be able to gather additional content that can then be used as digital marketing tools to drive people to streaming and downloading the record.”

Dedicated to his mother, born in November, and died when he was at the age of one year old, fans were able to pre-order the album digitally on November 27, 2015 before the official release on December 4, 2015. Titled Young King The Beginning the album consist of 15 tracks plus one bonus track along with an intro. The Album sees Teflon speaking about social commentary, equal rights, human social transition out of their daily struggles, love, female respect, Love for the Almighty, to a collaboration with Reggae legend Lee Scratch Perry and riddim compositions by Reggae’s great musicians Sly Dunbar, Worm, Dalton Browne, Robbie Lyn and Dean Fraser.

The album was executive produced by Yard A Love Records and will be distributed By Tuff Gong International. The album had track productions from Yard A Love Records, Forever Music, Born Free Records, High Definition Production, Machete Records, MD Music, Bless Music Team to name a few.

Meanwhile, with the main focus thrust upon promoting his new single and video “Not Today” from the Album. Teflon will start in November with the west coast leg of his USA “Young King Meet The Poor Tour” to promote the album. Also he will be doing three launch events worldwide wherein California will be the first, Jamaica in December the second and Europe in 2016 to promote his message of love and respect.

RUB-A-DUB XMAS ALBUM READY FOR THE FESTIVE SEASON FROM THE TUFF GONG MASTERS VAULT

Tuff Gong International continues its “Masters Vault” series with the digital release of a classic from its vast catalog. RUB-A-DUB X-MAS features veteran reggae artists including Frankie Paul and Tristan Palmer putting a roots rock touch on beloved Christmas standards with a few original carols for good measure. Produced by Ossie Thomas in the 80’s and originally released on vinyl, RUB-A-DUB X-MAS was an immediate holiday hit with reggae lovers. Although out of print since the late 1990’s the album continued to be in demand with collectors.  RUB-A-DUB X-MAS has been remastered and is available on Friday December 4, 2015 at all digital retail outlets.
RUB-A-DUB X-MAS is the latest release in a series of albums from the vast Tuff Gong catalog of master tapes.  Tuff Gong- Masters Vault features remastered recordings that have never before been available digitally.  The series launched earlier this year with the release of So Much Things To Say- the Bob Marley Interviews and then followed by the critically acclaimed Totally Tyrone by the late Tyrone Taylor (“Cottage in Negril” and “Rainy Sunset”).  More titles from this series are set to be released in 2016.
